Is it really that good or do people only like it for “diversity”?

i've watched it 12 times.
i love it. it's pure cinematic joy to me.
i think it's the greatest recreation of a comic book world ever seen in a movie.
maybe some people like it for its diversity. i dunno. i can't see into their hearts or minds.
but the fact that so many people have fallen for this particular film suggests to me there's more going on here than pandering to identity politics.

Absolutely dazzling animation, I mean the movie is just amazing to look at, it's fast-paced, clever, and full of action, the plot is clever, the hero is completely likable, and it's just plain fun.

Hands down the best animated movie of 2018. It's really that good.

It is an absolutely phenomenal movie! I have seen it more than 10 times and I still get goosebumps at the "leap of faith" scene.

ITs good. But its not the 69th best movie ever made and i wouldn't put it over Spider-man 2 either.

I know we're comparing apples to oranges but I'd watch it over any of the Tom Holland films. It's unique and compelling with an interesting art style. His ethnicity isn't a driving point by any means.
