Most cringe-worthy turn-off-your-brain moments in the FNF series

For me, the most cringe-worthy turn-off-your-brain moment of each FNF movie. Keep in mind, there are WAAAAAY too many moments to list. These just always stood out to me...

1. Going through all the trouble of hooking yourself onto a moving big rig semi instead of simply laying down a spike strip and ordering the driver to get out at gun point.
2. Launching a car onto a moving boat in order to save someone inside it.
3. The main character doesn't speak Japanese but attends a Japanese school where the teachers don't speak english.
4. Driving through those tunnels at those speeds
5. Dragging a bank vault all over town (need I say more?)
6. Catching someone in mid air (both going in opposite directions at high speeds) and landing on a windshield with no repercussions what so ever.
7. Cars jumping between 2 skyscrapers

I can only imagine all the cringe-worthy turn-off-your-brain moments there will be in 8.

How about Dom lifting the front part of that expensive sport car ?

the nonsense we've seen so far is just the tip of the iceberg. it's about to get worse. the new installment is a whole new level of ridiculous film making. every cent spent on this movie is better off donated to the homeless wandering the streets. this movie is an insult to our intelligence, the box office success of this franchise is the definite proof of how messed up and ignorant our movie goers are.

reply

You're posts are an insult to our intelligence. You're creating topics consisting of "this movie is.... for kids". Hardly Pulitzer Prize winning material from someone complaining about the lack of intelligence in a mindless action film.

You're asking people how much they weigh, where they're from, and how many push ups they can do. What does that have to do with this movie?

reply

what are you saying? you've been snooping around?

reply

I'm saying I haven't seen a thread on this board where you were calling people children and various insults.

Here you deflecting again because you're a sad little troll who secretly loves these movies. Who are you trying to impress with your phony "intelligence"? Nobody gives 2 cents about what you consider to be a good film or a kids film.

*weren't

you sound like you have no idea what you're talking about. i feel sorry for you, son. you've probably been going through stressful times, things don't go your way, you keep running out of luck and now you barely make sense. i understand how hard it is to put up with extreme adversities, it's messing with your head, driving you nuts, making you see things. you're deluded. you need to take a break, set out on an adventure, embark on a life-changing journey and in the end, you've got nothing to worry about. everything will come together, things will liven up and you no longer have to snoop around.

reply

Clever. Tell me more about how smart you are and every movie is beneath you? I'm just dying to read more about one of the sharpest minds in existence.

reply

WeAreALLFiends is clearly just another pseudo-intellectual. I've encountered douchebags like him all over imdb. Just another idiot who thinks that hating an extremely popular franchise makes him look rebellious going against the grain type.

lol what have we here, a relentless fast and furious fan who's been snooping around going over my posts, you're creeping me out. i bet every fan of this movie is a reclusive creep that loves watching kids-friendly movies.

reply

WeAreALLFiends words: creep me out.

What he's really saying: She has me figured out, so I must play the victim card.

 It's an open message board, asshat. If you don't want no one else in on this conversation, take this to a private messaging arena.

lol have a nice day! you stopped making sense a while ago and i just played along to kill time. you have nothing insightful to offer, why should i continue this conversation? lol have a nice day!

reply

I got "lol have a nice day!" the first time you said it, no need to repeat it. I stopped making sense?  you're looking for high art in a movie franchise not know for that while everyone else here is looking for an escape from reality to watch these movies. Where's the sense in that, hipster wannabe?

reply

Just another troll. He's not very good at it either.

reply

Natalia, why are you arguing with a raging virgin?

reply

You and chrislwmn3 are both correct. I put him on ignore shortly after I ended this argument with him.

Creeping? You have posted in nearly every thread and have said the same thing in every post. We get it little hipster kid- you're too cool and smart for all the boring sheeple who don't like what you like.

You have nothing to offer in any discussion because your points are easily disguarded with all the other troll posts on any given board on IMDB. You're the type floating in the cesspool of posters who call every movie racist or a rip-off of some lesser know project. As with them, you are a low IQ moron.

That is all.

reply

He is a virgin that's all. This movie is her dating app to mingle with users.

reply

@chrislwmn3 You're posts are an insult to our intelligence.

Got to love autocorrect and the lack of an edit button on the app.

This movies are made to entertain, not to be taken seriously at all. The characters are purposely almost cartoonish. A bad FF movie would be a boring one.

In part four he timed it so he would drive under an overturned fuel tanker as it bounced down the road like a tennis ball.

In part six, the tank being "anchored" by the small car.

In parts six and seven, Roman and Ramsey managed to lay atop cars moving at super speeds without falling off.

In part seven Dom driving off a mountain to escape the mercs, and he and his passanger survive intact because he handed her a magic crash helmet or something.

Slightly plausible because he barely lifted the front of the car for Paul to slide underneath and held it very shortly. I say slightly plausible because the engine is in the back of that car.

In part seven Dom driving off a mountain to escape the mercs, and he and his passanger survive intact because he handed her a magic crash helmet or something.

Slightly plausible because his car had a role cage, passenger had a helmet, and I believe Tej reinforced tank parts into the car.

Anyway the absolute worst scene for me that their is absolutely no possible way it happened was in Furious 7. When Ramsey jumps from one car to another. Both cars spin out of control and start drifting around each other and she jumps into one of the spinning cars with her computer. It was so terrible and the absolute worst part of the entire film. I would buy every single action scene in the entire franchise before I bought that nonsense.

reply

if you think those are over the top, you haven't seen anything yet. the cast is gonna make good on their mind-blowing, jaw-dropping high octane scenes this time. buckle up, we're in for one of the dumbest moments in cinematic history.

reply

I love those moments. That's the hallmark of the series dude1 If I have anything negative to say about F&F it's the dialogue. Some scenes I'm amazed made it past editing. I did cringe in FURIOUS 7 when Vin Diesel said with a straight face "we're not killers". I mean WTF?!?!?

Whatever you are, be a good one.

reply

1- if you lay down spike strips, you can't steal the semi and escape quickly. They weren't packing the Civics with a bunch of DVD players.

The worst scene to me is Dom somehow hooking grenades to the helicopter in Furious 7. There is no possible way that could happen. Funny thing is Jason Statham had a similar scene in transporter 2 where he knocked the bomb if the bottom of the car using a crane.

Does anyone have a spare "Suspension of Disbelief" hat they can give this guy?

I agree. There are just too many moments to use as evidence that this is the best modern action movie series.

reply

pretty much every scene after the first movie.

I think maybe for me, it's the opening scene in "Fast Five" where a Charger was able to make a prison bus crash, sending said bus flying over it, after which it flipped 10 times, and on top of all that there was not one casualty.

Logan, buddy. It's me, Deadpool! I shot youuuuuu....
