Of course she'll wake up. Likely Eleven will figure out a way, will probably have to go in her mind and do some maintenance.

But I feel like her waking up is pretty much a given. Because narrative structure. You generally go with the more dramatic/interesting choice. So she either wakes up, or she stays in a coma forever until she eventually dies. Be much more interesting to have her wake up, and maybe have something be different about her. If they were going to kill her, it would've been more interesting for it to just happen in 4x09 instead of going the coma route.

Well one is sure - there have to be a time jump if they plan to wake her up. Because her bones are broken and she cant wake up and go on adventures. They would have to conveniently time jump some 4 month for her bones to heal. They were heavily broken.

A time jump makes sense anyway. Helps with the concern of stars who are still aging noticeably, especially in pandemic times.

Plus they've said next season will be shorter, and when we see the characters again, they'll have been busy. So I wouldn't be surprised if we start with six months later or something. Which would feasibly give Max's bones time to heal. Even so though, when she wakes up she'll realistically have mobility issues from not moving so long. So I hope her whole storyline isn't just hanging out in the hospital getting physical therapy.

Also I wouldn't be surprised if Max gets sidelined a little next season. She's been given a lot of focus that they'll probably want back on Eleven, since the original ostensible lead.

She will definitely wake up. If her character was going to die, then they would have just killed her off.

She will end up in a wheelchair next season. They need to give disability some representation in this show, as it's one of the boxes left unticked.
