How does Elsa have character development without a boyfriend in these movies?
Anna gets a boyfriend in Christoph and she had a good character development people want to see romance love storys in Disney cartoons

shareWhat character development?
shareIgnoring the troll-factor of the OP, both movies are actually Anna's stories more than Elsa's
The naive princess overcomes huge obstacles with no magical powers using only her grit and ingenuity
In this movie, she steps up as leader almost immediately after realizing her sister's likely dead and losing Olaf
So ... no character development needed for Elsa; she's not the protagonist
Oddly, I think the view of which character is the protagonist varies depending on the age of the audience member. Adults see Anna as the protagonist whereas children see Elsa as the protagonist. Anna is by far the more interesting character. Elsa is a one-note super-heroine.
shareYou don't actually need a significant other to have character development, but the fact that they make many of these Disney princesses so feminist that they "don't need a man" is getting old. Everyone needs someone, and to leave them single does a disservice to the whole fairy tale theme Disney has been rocking for nearly 80 years.
shareAgreed that they've made their "point" and need to start allowing true romance back in again.
