It will flop

Almost everyone hated the first one.Nobody in his right mind will pay to watch this one

I totally agree that it'll flop. Though - being the masochist that I am - I may just watch it out of curiosity!

Hey do me a favor. Look at my ICON will go see it. A lot of people will go see it. IF you don't like it. DON'T see it. Let others enjoy the film and STFU. The film is for the fans not tools who want to hate on something they don't understand.

Frankly, I think this one will do better than the first. If not box-office wise, perhaps from the critics view. I'm not saying it's an Oscar-worthy masterpiece by any means, but structurally, the film looks better than the first. We'll see.

reply

Agreed. The two leads don't have chemistry and Jamie Dornan, who I really like just didn't come across as Christian. I won't see this one until it comes on HBO.

reply

The movie still would have sucked but it would have been more watchable if a horribly miscast Dornan hadn't been in it and they would have cast someone who had chemistry with Dakota Johnson.

Brilliant, JB, not only do you have the skills of a prophet, but you bothered to come and comment on the flopping qualities of a film you'd doubtless claim you wouldn't watch, thus proving that people, including you, will indeed watch it. Don't bet on any horses.

Unfortunately it won't. It may not perform as well as the first one did, but it won't bomb either.

It won't get the General Audience who went to the first out of curiosity to see what all the fuss was about, but that these films cost peanuts to make, and there is a sizable core of fans of the book, mean it will make a decent profit, though nowhere near what the first one did.

Dakota Johnson = Average Boobs = Boring
