I think penny is awesome and I understand why hes so cranky...he can literally read minds....that is enough to drive anyone crazy especially when you dont have control over it yet. He has developed the shield to drive people away in order to not have to hear their every thought

They'll probably go more into character backstory as the series continues and if his backstory is fleshed out right all the haters will take it all back.

shareHe's the only character on the show that I enjoy. In a cast full of young actors/actresses trying WAY too hard to be serious with an utterly goofy script, he is refreshing because he seems like he's in on the joke.
