but no not a conundrum at all, Its clear what happened..If you look at the Marvel Studios Brand, Its clearly Growing, Post Avengers 1 through Phase 2, The Marvel Brand brought in an average audience around 650 to 700 Million dollars..Civil War until now its grown, now the Marvel Brand is pretty much guaranteeing at least a 115 Million Opening Weekend, A 300 Million domestic Gross and about 800 M World Wide(Doctor Strange is the lone exception)

So what that means is, Black Panther, Had it not had any Impact from its cultural Importance, Would have certainly made made close to those numbers, It was Tracking at 100 to 120 Million before any of the Hype started, IMO given Black Panther reviews and how good it was, It would have made, at least 110 + on OW, at least 300 M+ domestically and between 750 to 825 M WW....just off the Marvel Brand and growing audience...

but of course we know, Black Panthers Cultural Impact sent the films hype into Orbit...

for me, I have no problem saying, Black Panthers Domestic Gross was at least upped by 50% as a direct result of its Cultural impact...This wasnt A D List characters beating "A Listers"....This was a cultural Movement that caught fire...

A recently read a report where a company looked into Black Panthers box office and found that between 17 to 20% of tickets sold were to people who had not only never seen a MCU film, but had never seen A CBM before in theaters...

the site reported this audience was mainly OLDER Afraid Americans and WAY UPPER class African American, who saw the film ONLY because of its Cultural Important and Impact

While I get because Black Panther box office is so successful its troll proof, that now the only possible way you can try to troll l is by trying to turn its success into a negative for another film...But the facts are, Black Panther Became more than A Comic Book Movie...No COMIC BOOK MOVIE ever Will get that certain 17 to 20% of the audience that saw Black Panther...

believe it or not the same thing happened with Wonder Woman just to a lesser extent...Wonder Wonder Beat Man Of Steel...Wonder Woman, A female superhero, who had never had a major motion picture, Beat and out Grossed the ULTIMATE A lister in Superman....

does that mean WW is more popular or Superman/MOS should be embarrassed...No the facts are something cultural went of with that film, Women got behind it and its importance, It had Incredibe Box office Holds through its entire run, Because A different Audience was showing up to see and support it....


now I just hit you with concrete facts as to why your "if Black Panther beats Avengers, thats embarrassing" trolling attempt is a massive fail....

Avengers IW, IMO will open higher than Black Panther(between 210 to 220 Million IMO) and Will make more World wide, between 1.3 and 1.5 Billion...

Avengers IW will prove to be the bigger and more popular property...Its just not going to have A Domestic explosion where it over performs by 350 Million due 100% to A New Audience seeing the film because of its cultural Importance...
