Thanos looks 2008 CGy

2008 Hulk

I never liked the look of him. Why not do prosthetics? It worked for Hellboy

reply

I liked how Thanos looked the very first time he appeared better.

Agree.

Six months of post production left.

When the first trailer for Thor: Ragnarok dropped, people were saying the same thing about Hulk. Fast forward to the film’s release, and the big guy ended up looking better than ever (some might argue against that but as far as I know no reviews criticized the way he looked).

Marvel will “sharpen” things up before this comes out.

reply

think both Hulk trailers also had early FX that was changed for the actual movies

reply

I sincerely hope that's the case here. Cause otherwise it will take me out of the movie. I hate these CGI villains, that's one of my biggest issues with Justice League and the DCEU in general.

reply

If there's anything that looks bad in the trailer, IMO, it's that portal that opens right before Thanos steps out. It had matte lines around the edges and looks like a low-res, low-frame-rate video game effect, blurred to mask the pixels.

Probably just a placeholder effect, though.

reply

Well, it doesn't look worse than Ivan Ooze... I mean Apocalypse, Steppendog or CaveTroll Doomsday, so?

The CGI always looks better in the finished film than the trailers. This is nothing new.

reply

Thanos looks like shit. There's no CGI to fix. He looks like an angry surfer in a wife beater.

reply

Agree! Looks like crap. So cartoonish.

reply

yes like an arcade game character from the 90s ...or even the 80s!
