Should TMNT get rebooted again?

This series is so forgettable and it's pure garbage, there's really no love or heart, just money. And that's pretty much the reason why Michael Bay accepted the job, and MF is in there because she just wants to be in there. Just looking at the movie itself it's pretty clear that the producers aren't really fond of this franchise at all and don't seem to know what they are even doing.

Yeah the sequel may be a slight improvement over he first, but still it's not good and forgettable.

Since this film is seemingly bombing financially. I hope Nick. cancels a third instalment and reboots the film series again just like Spiderman. But this time have a bigger company produce it. Like Disney and Marvel, or Warner Bros and Legendary studios. Marvel studios and Disney have been doing a spectacular job on their Marvel films and has recently delivered a great Spiderman. They make their films in ways that both adults and kids would be satisfied. I as an adult TMNT fan would love to have a TMNT movie that's a bit dark in tone and has a great appeal to adult audiences, also strongly respecting the original comics. Like the 2003 TMNT series did. I don't think I want to see a live action version of the 1987 tmnt show, the only characters I'd wouldn't mind added in is Bebop and Rocksteady (Imagine how it would be if those two were portrayed seriously.).

Bottom line I would want the film series to get rebooted again but this time with love and care. Not for the sake of money.

I'm sick of Hollywood constantly rebooting franchises so I'm more hoping for a third film than having to start over again just because this series isn't your cup of tea. I myself wasn't a fan of The Amazing Spider-Man movies but I wouldn't knock anyone who liked them and its kind of annoying that series was left unfinished.

I'd watch a TMNT reboot. I've seen every theatrical version of TMNT. But I don't think Warner Bros./Legendary or Marvel/Disney should be involved. You're right, Marvel and Disney have been doing an excellent job bringing to life the MCU, and I look forward to their future movies and shows and Spider-Man -- but I think they should stay away from TMNT.

If they were to reboot TMNT again, I think they should try to draw more inspiration from the comic books. The darker Mirage Studios and IDW, specifically. Love the IDW book. Does a great job blending different TMNT mythology in a unique way while creating its own mythos.

If it doesn't retell the origins, sure.

No way Disney would have anything to do with it. Nick is Paramount so the studio will stay the same as Nick isn't going to sell the rights either.

Amen for a reboot made by a completely different crew. I'm a big time TMNT fan and I hated the first film with passion. This new movie is the first one that I will not see in cinema. I don't want my money to reward those crap.

That being said, stop saying "for the money" like its a bad or a rare thing. The priority of almost every producer is profit and that's normal. But if Deadpool showed us something, its that it pays to give the fans what they want.

They need to set the Turtles in 1984 back when it first started. It just doesn't suit current times.

I'd very much like to see it rebooted. I don't even care about seeing the origin again, it's been over 30 years since we've seen a faithful version on the big screen and even then it didn't focus on it.

Sadly I think that they'll just let this franchise lay dormant for a very long time.

What specifically about TMNT doesn't work in current times?

The modern age tech, camera phones for example they can't hide. It would be more believable that they could stay hidden without drone's etc searching the sewers.

Also Donny tech doesn't look as advanced now as it would back then.

You know what was good? TMNT animated film from 2007. I'm not even a fan of NT really, and I really enjoyed that movie as a kid.

Honestly, I'd be OK with a reboot as long as the turtles aren't Hulk sized, but regular (slightly shorter than) man sized like we're used to.

To me, the Platinum Dunes movies are really nothing super special (I will say I like them better than Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III).

I'd like to see a reboot with Oroku Nagi (Shredder's older brother & Hamato Yoshi's rival in the original comics) as part of the backstory.

But, I still do say I would also prefer an adult oriented darker TMNT animated (not CGI, unless it's just backgrounds) TV series with the Mirage comic origin.

While the 1990 movie & 2003 series had their origins much closer to the (Mirage) comics, Nagi was excluded.

Well, in 1 episode of the 2003 series, they had a character similar to him, but worked for Utrom Shredder & Tang Shen was killed before Hamato Yoshi (with Splinter) fled to New York City.

If you've never read Mirage Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles volume #1 issue #1...

I strongly suggest you do.

It is very awesome & had me saying "Oh [BEEP]!" a bit.

I can honestly do with or without Krang, Bebop & Rocksteady since the 1990 movie (I grew up with) & the 2003 series (which came out when I was in my upperclassman years in high school, but I eventually got into) did without them (they were referenced or simply had a cameo in the 2003 series).

Watched TMNT (2007 animation) - good in design, but the story was one dimensional. No character development for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014) - 4/10. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows is a slight improvement - 6/10. I think this franchise is strictly for kids!

Though predictable as the first one but if you like the acts of Mike, Donna, Leo and Ralph, you would definitely like the movie. Action doesn't involve much of martial arts as the first one but the scale is bigger.

To say that Out of the Shadows was a total flop wouldn't be fair. Even if by a small margin, Out of the Shadows is an improvement over the first film. There are still some major fixes I wish could be made to help improve this franchise which got off to a very rocky start two years ago and is crawling its way to improvement.

Next time, the producers should go for a reboot instead of going for the third installment and making it an unnecessary forced trilogy!

I'd probably think the same thing if I watched it again. I haven't seen it in like seven years lol.

But they could drop teenage mutant from the title of Ninja Turtles the adventures begins which started with Hamato Yoshi who lived hidden in the sewer of New York discovered four baby turtles fell to the sewer then flash-forward to present day where crime spreads all over new york and a mysterious criminal organization who called themselves The Foot who commited unexplained crimes that no New Yorkers ever saw.
