Was £30 so no way id ever buy that.. not even at 10.. even 4.99 would pause. Maybe 2.99 would do it

Lot of preproduction artwork and some info on how Solo came to be - few years back Lucas was coming up with ideas for the sequel trilogy and Kasdan was invited to 'the ranch' and they decided a Solo origin would be a good one to do and that it was intended to be 1st of the standalones (not Rogue One) inbetween the ST but then Kasdan had to help out with TFA and Solo got delayed

One previs pic was was near photographic quality of young Ford and young Billy Dee playing cards with a holo Falcon at the centre of the table (obviously done way before any casting a lot of the pics in the book feature Alden though apart from a couple with young Ford) It looked nothing like the eventual scene and you can sort of understand why they wanted to do a Solo movie as it looked pretty cool scene as that picture is like straight out of the imagination of how Solo mustve won the Falcon from Lando ( mainly because its young Ford and BDW) That one pic looked better than the entire movie

Kasdan is a hack. Totally overrated. I believe it was totally his stupid idea or dummy Kennedy who doesn't have one original idea and wants to create a standalone about every SW character whether we want to see it or not.

I wish George Lucas would sue for defamation of character each time one of those hacks blame him for the catastrophe that Disney SW has become.

Kasdan is rapidly burning through all the goodwill his 80s films rightfully earned him but he hasn't been involved with a quality film since 1983. That's unless you're a fan of the Bodyguard of course.

I read a draft of Empire before Kasdan was hired by Lucas. It was mainly written by Lucas and Brackett and already had a lot of good dialogue in it as well as the main plot. I think Kasdan gets way too much credit for it.

"You're alone so I'll call you Solo." Horrible.

I liked the Bodyguard but mainly because of Costner and Houston's performances.
