Blame TLJ for poor Solo performance?!?!?!

The disgruntled group of distractors that call themselves "Star Wars fans" now pin the blame for Solo failure, and the subsequent decision to put upcoming standalone features on hold, on TLJ!?!?!?! Where's the logic in that? Solo was a poorly scripted and poorly executed movie. Rogue One was also mediocre. They both can't hold a candle to either TFA or TLJ. The Saga installments were much better movies. The other two, however, left much to be desired. So that's the story: TLJ and TFA good, Solo and Rogue One bad.

This thread is bait.
People flocked to see Empire Strikes back because they loved Star Wars. Not because word got out that it was good.
TLJ made lots of money because TFA & R1, though very flawed, were liked in general by SW fans. Solo was not great nor terrible but suffered from people having stopped caring about SW due to TLJ. Obviously not everyone. It did make lots of money. But there is no denying that you stop eating at a place after a bad meal ... not because you heard that your next meal was going to be bad.

BAIT.

Again, you people never seize to surprise me. First of all, what evidence do you have in support of that outlandish claim that TLJ was disliked or even hated by the audiences? I'm not even talking about box office take, but the opinion of viewers expressed in official, verifiable polls, not in easily doctored "audience scores" on certain websites. TLJ was widely acclaimed movie both by critics AND by the audiences. No matter how much you trolls try to alter that fact, it still remains as the fact. As for the Solo, the lukewarm reviews were already available before the premiere. If TLJ is to be blamed, it is the backlash of people like you that has disproportionately infested the social media, not the movie itself.

Dude , just look around you , millions of fans hated it , pretty much every mate of mine that watched it hated it, check the reviews on IMDB, check out the reviews on RT, any site that has audience reviews is panned by them.

Solos poor performance is down to the fact that TLJ was despised by milllions of star wars fans, it was a batsard star wars movie directed by a fucking hack

he knows that. He is just trolling his fanboy heart out with flat-earther arguments and personal incredulity. Or, he is just too obtuse a fanboy to realize how stupid he is.

I sense it to (ignites lightsaber)

A Star Wars movie was a guaranteed cash machine until The Last Jedi. Solo is poised to lose $50-100 million dollars. There is all the proof anyone needs that a large percentage of Star Wars fans simply wrote off the franchise after the abomination that was TLJ.

That sums it up for me. Well, aside from the fact that I had absolutely any interest in there being a film about Han and for some other actor (other than Harrison Ford) to play him (move on already and come up with new stuff). I had no interest in this because, in my opinion, they effed up TLJ up so badly and ruined the old characters so much. In my opinion, since they are effing up the old story line and old characters so horribly they should never have even tried this. The first new star wars film should have just been 60-70 years after Jedi and they should have started completely new stories and left the old canon alone.
