Woody Harrelson

was an interesting casting choice. I like Woody Harrelson and have enjoyed his work over the years, but he is pretty much just good at playing Woody Harrelson and I have seen him in so many movies over the decades. I just kept seeing Woody Harrelson throughout the movie not his character. When he was on the millennium falcon hanging out with Chewbacca I kept thinking hey look it's Woody Harrelson hanging out on the millennium falcon with Chewbacca. Also when I think of a hardened smuggler Woody Harrelson is not the guy who comes to mind. He's more like that big goofball uncle who's fun getting drunk with. In the end he was solid, but someone like maybe Josh Brolin may have been a better fit for the role.

I think he pulled it off. Brolin would have been cool too but he’s all over the place right now. Becket started out as a very likable character in my opinion, then you realize he’s a bad dude by the end. I think he served as a role model for Solo, what not a to be. Even when solo shoots him at the end he shows sympathy towards Becket. He understands why Becket did what he did and he never let himself go down the same path. He remained the good guy, deep down.

Some dumbass Hunger Games fangirl cast him as well as Emilia Clarke stupidly thinking it will entice fans of Games of Thrones and Hunger Games to see the flick...as if Woody fucking Harrelson was EVER a box office draw or had a fucking thing to do with the success of Hunger Games.

He will always be Roy Munson to ME.

I didn't think he had a good role here. Doesn't really give him much to do other than spout out advice to young Han. They could have gotten a much cheaper actor if they were going to do that but i'm guessing there was going to be a lot more for him to do under the previous directors, who were fired by Lucasfilm and replaced with Ron Howard.

Have a short review of this one on my Youtube movie review channel if you're interested-https://youtu.be/SVdMCNhBstI

Brolin would have been great.
