I tried watching this last night. But I could bring myself to accept the Manson Monsters being portrayed as heroes. Also the fact that the murders were not portrayed as they really occurred, for example: in last night's episode Steven Parent was killed last when in reality he was killed first. And this 'Emma' chick is a fictitious character. Debra Tate ( Sharon's sister ) is calling for a boycott of this crap. She is also spearheading an online petition to keep Leslie Van Houton behind bars. These people are not heroes. Charles Manson is is the worst piece of human garbage that ever lived. None of them should be let out.

This is not a documentary...it's a show inspired by true events, with completely fictitious elements introduced into the plot.

Exactly! And that's exactly what is stated as the series starts. It won't be everyone's cup of tea for sure, but I really like it

I fail to see how the show glorifies Manson or the Family's lifestyle. He is a sexist, scummy, manipulative twerp in the show.

5'2 is pretty short for a guy. (twerp) He was, and is despicable piece of crap! I hope they all stay in prison until they die, and then rot in h€ll.

They don't make these people out to be heroes in the slightest. They make Charlie out to be a weak man who surrounds himself with women to do his dirty work. The girls are villains who, if you think they're heroes, then you need to get a dictionary and turn to H's and look up Hero.

It uses mostly fictitious characters and plays off of historical characters that make for good tv.

I love it. I think it's brilliant. These scum, including Patty/Katie who was introduced last night SHOULD be in prison for the rest of their lives. No one denies this.



It was never said to be 100% factual and I don't see them as being portrayed as heroes or even anti-heroes. No Emma doesn't exist but I think it's easier to put fictional people in the real situations and I'm guessing she somewhat represents Linda since it doesn't seem like she's a part of this at all.

Duchovny ruins the show, the family stuff is ok , but the rest is awful.

Yep @pantherfan99 the murders were not shown in the order they really occurred. It was not shown in chronological order deliberately, first we see Manson trying to clean up (which he came in after the murders to do) and it worked from there showing it in different stages, one of the last scenes was them arriving at the house gate.

In fact I wouldn't be surprised if we see the stories intersect, 1967 is going forward and the flash forwards to 1969 appear to be going backwards.

Well there's no proof Manson went up to Cielo to view the crime scene ( much less clean up ). But, there is some speculation that he might have.

a couple of books have been written that stated Manson and another man went to the Tate scene early in the morning....the towel that was over Sebring's head was placed there by Manson, and that Tate and Sebring had ropes around their necks because Manson was going to hang both of them in front of the front door.....but the sun was coming up and they feared the maid would show up so they left.
