I'm lost. Can someone explain the motive of the bad guys in this movie? (spoilers)

These guys claim to be sick of the system. So exactly why were they "tying up loose ends" by killing Susan? What loose ends. To achieve what goal? And who was Calbert. Why did "the group" kill him and his wife.

They are former members of McCall's team, who started working as contract killers. Susan was onto them, so they killed her. Calvert was a mark.

They were sick of the system so they thought they might as well profit from it. They became an assassin squad killing anyone with a price on their head.
