What other genres could be transplanted to the Star Wars Universe?

Rogue One is essentially a war movie set in the Star Wars Universe. It occurred to me that now that Disney is opening up the Star Wars Universe outside of the Lucas storyline with this film and the upcoming Han Solo spin-off, what other films could they do?

One of the things that stood up was the Chinese characters who weren't proper Jedi Knights but was force sensitive and was adherent to religious doctrine. This could be expanded to have a Seven Samurai type storyline. Considering how you saw Darth Vader went through Rebel soldiers like knife through butter with his force powers as well as the main baddie in the Force Awakens movie, there could be a possibility of one of those Sith Jedi's (not sure of the terminology) going rouge that could give a slasher/horror type of story. I also was thinking that as Rogue One was more grown up, there could be the possibility of a political type thriller where an Imperial agent could the hero who thwarts an extremist Rebel Alliance aligned faction from say using a Weapon of Mass destruction against civilian targets.

If Disney is brave enough, the movies they could make is limitless. Does anybody have any ideas about future spin-off movies?

I'm hoping for Behind the Music: Figrin D'an and the Modal Nodes.

There was a Clone Wars episode, in honor of Akira Kurosawa, where a couple of Jedi help a group of farmers, just as in Seven samurai.

Rogue One was not a war movie......It was a pg-13 toy commercial.

I want a The Social Network style 2 friends build a business movie with the 2 buddies being a failed inventor/entrepreneur who meets the greatest hitman/bounty hunter in the universe and comes up with the idea to make a clone army.

The split could be over the bounty hunter FREAKING OUT over watching millions of himselfs getting mowed down en mass.

Horror. Some of the scarier alien species in the Star Wars universe would make for great horror film villains. Imagine a film about a troop of stormtroopers being picked off by a creature in the dark while they're trying to establish control on a planet.

Thanks to all who posted with ideas.

I like the idea of a sort of Pitch black style movie. It could be done on a low budget where the filmakers can take more risks and make it more interesting.

Out of interest, I appreciate the droids has a part in the Star Wars universe but I wonder if there was ever a threat of intelligent machines like in the Terminator and Battlestar Galactica franchises?

Or maybe an "Event Horizon"-style horror film. A rescue boards a ship that just went silent in response to all attempts to make contact and soon find themselves in over their heads dealing with an eldritch horror born of The Dark Side.
