QUESTION - Do you like the decision to shut down the boards YES or NO ?

This is just another simple YES or NO question!

reply

what's the point of asking a YES or NO question on this topic?

It's a topic people need to have input on.

It's a terrible decision by IMDB, but I understand why they felt the need to. Trolls have ruined a great thing!

reply

Yes, maybe in the future they can make a new message boards, but the boards right now have really become worse over time, I've began to use them less and less recently, mainly because the community gets worse and worse.

reply

I hope if we all *SHOUT* loud enough, they will change their minds. Where else can you discuss so many different movies on one site?

reply

Yes.

reply

hell no

reply

Hi, JurorNr13. Let me give you a bronze star medal.

reply

Wouldn't exactly say I'm happy about it, but i'm not going to throw a temper tantrum over it either.

If you feel like Picard screaming how many lights there are, it's time to walk away from the thread.

reply

Same here. There have been some great times, but eventually all good things must come to an end.

Fear God and Dreadnought!

reply

Lately these boards are impossible, too many man-childs looking for attention, so I understand the decision.

What sucks is that not everyone is interesting in the blockbuster discussions, there's some classic and cult movies that are awesome to discuss, and you never find trolls in those boards.

NO - the decision is stupid, and referring to quantity instead of quality is a bad path.

Maybe the boards were 90% trolling and 10% meaningful discussion, but people who want the 10% can filter for it (in their heads) and the value of that 10% is much more than 10%, if you get what I mean.

All in all - NO

I was looking back to see if you were looking back at me to see me looking back at you

reply

No. - I'll miss discussions for specific movies. They can't replicate that on facebook (which I refuse to use any more) or twitter which prevent good discussions and will be general to imdb rather than specific to movies.
