Sounds about right to me.

Do you know any good website activity tracker tools? I'd actually like to see how bad this impacts IMDB

It could be more than that. I honestly don't think most bloggers will even be able to post on the 19th! It's still more than a week away and I'm already getting glitches half the time I attempt to use the message boards.

I'd say 30-40% drop. There will still be a lot of users using IMDb to read the news, rate movies/tv shows etc., write reviews, keep up with trending movies, tv shows, celebrities.. so it's not gonna be total disaster for IMDb, but I am definitely not coming back to this site after February 20th. That's the date I'll actually unlike them on Facebook, where apparently we were supposed to go to discuss movies by the logic of IMDb stuff.

60% is about right

Honestly, I don't see that there will be much of a change, certainly not what's being predicted here. JMHO.

My traffic, your traffic, it will absolutely go down to nothing. But Joe Schmo looking for the roles that Jimmy Stewart played in Alfred Hitchcock movies, they will be coming just the same, and I've got to believe there's a whole lot more of that going on than what's going on in the message boards.

Before you chop up my post into little lines and try to disprove my prediction, I'm not say in the long that IMDB will suffer because of this, they will, immensely, unless they come out with something that serves the message boards purpose. I'm saying it will more likely be a long slow death for IMDB as competitors work to supply the larger package the IMDB has apparently abandoned.

My wife goes to IMDb almost every day and has never once gone to the message boards.
