What the heck!? It's horrible and if it's a wig, the hair person on set should be fired immediately. I saw a quick interview with this actor in a "what's happening next" bit and the hair was even WORSE than on the show but I don't know if it was actually his or the character's hair. Then they wrote "a kid with ratty hair" line right into the show so yeah, it's apparently a thing. It's terrible either way! ??

How awful, his hair is bad because his mother is of mixed race? Umm I've come across plenty of mix race and Black people with nice hair, I don't think race has anything to do with it, he's doing something to his hair.
