The situation has been reversed. Blaire's the one recieving all the bullying now she's been outed as the one recording Laura. Her friends are dead. No one will stand by her through all of this. Plus, they're not just dead either, two of them are actually caused by her (Adam and Mitch). Imagine spending the rest of your life knowing that, not to mention, everyone hates you at the same time.

She was a psychopath who didn't care about anyone but herself. She did something terrible to her supposed best friend, killed another friend (even if he was rapist scum) and got her boyfriend killed. She didn't care that her friends were dead and I think she was a senior nearing prom so it's not like she had that much more time.
shareI was legitimately just coming here to post this...I just finished the film and I liked it, but I was thinking, "Wow, this is a really powerful ending," and then they ruined it. Blaire should have lived, for exactly the reasons you stated. The film should have ended on the shot of her face.

Sure, the movie ends with suggesting that Blaire was perhaps not alone in her room, but I don't think anybody was necessarily going to attack her. Blaire was going to live on, being hated by her friends and haunted by the memories, perhaps also haunted by the ghosts, and slowly going crazy.

Yeah, I think it would've been much better to have her live as it would be essentially what she put Laura through - all the bullying and harassment. She made Laura suffer so she'd have to suffer. I wouldn't even have had a problem if Blare had decided to take her own life after receiving so much hate (not after being possessed but actually doing it herself), but they decided to go with a cheap jumpscare.

Agree 100%. I thought Ghost Laura should have kept her alive and let her live with her consequences. But Blaire did play the game wrong. She didn't admit to the video, so I guess she did have to die because of that. That was the rule of the game if I recall correctly.
