Should this be watched on a laptop instead of tv?

You know, to get the full immersive experience

I got the computer hooked to my tv, I'm posting right after watching the movie btw... it feels uneasy haha

People that say the movie was a waste of time actually likes horror movies? I thought this was a nice little surprise, not an instant classic but hardly a bad movie, the idea was creative and well executed.

I wonder if the filmmakers got paid for all the advertising done, it would feel a lot less authentic if they came up with fake software.

I watched it first time on my laptop. Loved it

This shouldn't be watched at all. Lost interest after the first 20 or so minutes and spent the rest of the time with half an eye on the movie and the other half on my phone. It was garbage.

I saw it in theaters and then on my laptop. It was scarier for me the first time just because obviously I didn't know what was coming, but watching it on my laptop made me realize it would have made it a lot more scarier. It makes you feel way more "there"

I kept mixing up what was my own stuff and what was on her screen lol.

Just watched on my laptop. Didn't know that it was filmed in that style and it was confusing in the beginning. Thought I had a bad copy or something. Felt pretty authentic watching it that way and I really enjoyed the movie. Don't think it would be as good on the big screen or TV. I also viewed it with LOW expectations, and that always helps.

I watched it on a mac and I think that definitely added something. It helped that my computer's set up is a lot like Blaire's so I once or twice actually got a bit distracted, mistaking the backdrop for my own. I also use Skype so when she got alerts, I felt like I was actually getting one.

reply

Yes, absolutely! If you have a MacBook, I feel like this is the only way to watch it. I didn't realize starting the film that it was shot from the screen of Blaire's computer, but I can't even imagine watching it on a TV, it wouldn't be the same.

I just finished watching, and used my computer. I don't have the theater, or television experience to compare this to, but I found it helped this movie.

I made the exception of watching this on my laptop (I rarely do - bigger, better screen downstairs) and I think the film is strong enough that it would be effective wherever one watches it. Would like to see it in a cinema for comparison, though.
