This film is racist.
Not one black/Mexican/Asian actor was cast in this film. Screw hollywood. That's messed up.

shareNot every movie needs a minority. Seems like every movie these days requires at least one black person in some way to be in it. Its bull.

Everything nowadays is racist.
shareI feel like they didn't want any minorities to begin with. Becuse if we are being totaly honest that's the *beep* white people do (spread rumors of their friends having eating disorders, crashing their friends mom's cars, posting an embarasing video of your childhood friend)
shareNot true at all.

It is 100% true.

This was explained. One of the kids said they aren't ghetto
shareYou wouldn't be able to see the black people on Skype ... too dark.
Plus there were plenty of minorities during the chatroulette scene.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, good one.

shareProbably because they would get in trouble for depicting a minority in a negative light.
Every character in this movie was supposedly "guilty" in some way for driving Laura to suicide, and we couldn't depict angelic innocent People of Color TM in such a negative light.
How do you know one of the cops wasn't? You could only see there pant legs.
shareIf you're going to say that this film is racist for not having any other people of different races, you can also argue that it's NOT racist for that reason, or that it's even racist against Caucasians. Everyone in this movie was apparently a horrible person, does that mean that, according to this movie, people of other races are NOT horrible? No, of course not.
Quit looking for racism where it doesn't exist. That's one of the biggest problems with our society; people are always looking for hate, racism, and such anywhere they can, and it only serves to keep people apart and indicate that there's a difference.
Yeah everyone in the movie is a terrible human so why would someone want to be included. Also, this sort of cyber bullying tends to happen in white suburban neighborhoods.

Oh,get real. It's not even about whether a person of color would be depicted as negative---nobody said we have to be perfect onscreen. I agree with the OP---I thought they could have had at least one person of color in the film too, because practically 99% of American films have mostly white casts. It's not like the cast had to be all white---besides, there were no big names in said cast,to begin with. "Angelic innocent people of color"? Yeah, right, that wasn't even cute or funny.
Ok. So what color should the "person of color" be? Wouldn't it also be racist to pick black over Japanese? Or Aboriginal over Eskimo? Or Egyptian over Mexican? Do you honestly think that one person of ANY race beside Caucasian would make it non-racist? Do you think that all races other than Caucasians stand in solidarity against said Caucasians and would feel placated?
I don't love her.. She kicked me in the face!!
There's what 6 characters in this movie? Blacks account for 12 percent of the population. So if the movie only has 6 people....they do NOT need a black person.
