I agree. But the intensity with which it hits them, I feel, might have been less without the diaper scene. Feeling tense and revulsion at the same time made me feel more ill at ease. When I go see a horror film, even if it doesn't downright terrify me, I expect it to atleast disturb me somehow, make me jump out my skin. After Antichrist and then The Witch, this was one of the only horror movies (which I've seen) that truly disturbed me.
I am not saying there is something wrong with you. This was too much for you. I can understand and accept that. Different strokes for different folks. But..
The problem is, that with such disgusting scenes people want to forget the movie or not talk about it after leaving the theaters or recommend it to someone.
when you assume you are speaking for everyone else. That is something which starts irking me.
