Just saw it
Franco tried to re-create Ed Wood but failed for the most part. To be honest I don't think he had a lot to work with. Ed Wood had a about ten bad movies to work off, Tommy Wiseau has only one bad movie to his credit (thankfully).
We still don't know a great about Tommy's origins or his motivations. There is a thin line between eccentricity and insanity. I am not sure where Tommy would fall on that spectrum although the movie does hint at a darker side to Tommy's personality. Tommy will rightly go back to obscurity but The Room will live on as one of the worst movies ever.
Will I watch The Room? We'll will see.
