If you dont like this show, why watch and why post?

I actually enjoy this show. I like the characters and i find them interesting.

A lot of the posts made here, and elsewhere, seem to be anti show. OK, this show isint everyones cup of tea. Not every show is. SO....how about just dont watch it? What do you gain by coming here and posting how they did such and such wrong or how this part or that part of the story made no sense?

I would much rather have posts here to read made by actual fans, not by people who have nothing better to do then post anti show posts.

Haters will always hate. I suspect half of these haters are failed writers. You want lessons then go to college, if u want entertainment u can watch this show. A flux capacitor made a car fly, a human fell in luv with a vampire which made a werewolf jealous, a hobbit saved the world and cars turn into living robots. But Scorpion is far fetched for some ppl?

You are probably someone that would call a valid criticism hatred. People use that word too much.

Dictatorships censor people that have valid criticisms of the government. You would fit right into a government like that.

Imagine a very intelligent person trying to make an improvement and people telling them they are being hateful. In their frustration they raise their effort to be heard and are put in jail for being a trouble-maker. That can happen in a system where criticism is censored.

Intelligent criticism is much more consistent with the theme of this show than is censorship.

Sam, I hope you do understand I used Haters here in the urban slang terms!?! The rest of my comment should have pretty much alluded you to this. Hatred takes on a whole new dimension, one I have not skewed towards.

People use that word too promiscuously. If you don't mean it then don't say it.

I apologize if that means you must use your intelligence to think about what you really mean but it really helps to do that.

Again, you put words in my mouth. I did not say I didn't mean it. I tried to clarify the context in which "haters" was used. Like i said, it is an urban slang. Instead of being judgmental and condescending, why don't you just look it up.

Hate is a very strong word. Liberal use of it is a symptom of a degradation of humanity. Are you saying you lack the intelligence to think of a more appropriate word? Why not say dislike instead of hate? I am just saying that you should think about what you are saying. Sure, some people misuse words because they don't think. I assume you are intelligent.

Long answer, why do you people in forums only expect positive feedback? Don't we have a right to share our criticism? Apparently not.
It's always fun to read these threads, where people complain that there are people who hate the show.

You're on a website that serves the media community. People here are completely free to express their opinions; and besides, if they don't like the show, there's nothing that says they cannot share their distaste.

Why watch it? Because it MIGHT have been good, but it sucked. So I DON'T, in fact, watch it.

Why post? Because the time slot could be used for a GOOD show. Because intelligent people have enough stereotypes to overcome without a show like this portraying them as weirdos.

I watch it and you are right, with a little more spent on better writing it could be much better. There is so much money spent on the show that a little bit more spent on better writers would be an insignificant cost and significant benefit.

One of the coolest things about the first 3 movies {ok maybe not the first one} was the cars. And they went completely over board. The other movies was more of, keep it on the road keep it running do what you need to use what you need to and try to put defensive stuff. This one its more like, lets have hot wheels in the movie!!!

I grew up with this franchise. Ive always loved it. But i feel this has ruined it.

So, my answer to this:

If you dont like this show, why watch and why post?

...is that others are just like you.

Because there are far too many people out there who were raised not to keep up with the Joneses, but to drag them down to their level instead.

I don't mind criticisms of specific episodes. I just saw the season premiere and thought it was way over the top. But on the BBT board, for example, it seems like someone has to start a new "this show isn't funny anymore/since the guys got girlfriends/since they introduced Amy & Bernadette/whatever" every other day. (someone even went in and found six of them started in the last two weeks) Apparently, it isn't enough to agree on an existing thread; they HAVE to tell the world the show sucks and you're a loser if you like it.

I don't even go on the Supergirl board anymore for that very reason. And the Modern Family board has a dozen threads body shaming a 17-year-old and calling an eight-year-old actress every name in the book.

I have not looked at the Supergirl board but people must expect a comic book type of show to be stupid. It is such a fundamental truth.

For whatever reason, they do. If you think the show is defensible, defend it. Don't whine about the complainers. Explain why you think they are wrong.

All you have said is that you like it, so other people should not complain about the horrifically stupid science and the absurd plots. As defenses go, that's as lame as it gets.

Some of the plots look lame, I can't deny it. But if you are relying on an action show to be scientifically accurate, you have bigger problems whining about it on IMDb. The show is supposed to be entertaining above all else. This isn't PBS or NPR, after all.

This show is basically your standard MacGyver/Bond/Jason Bourne show done with a Big Bang Theory-type cast.

I am really, really desperate for a show like this. I am eager to explain how to make it better. I am hoping that people that can influence shows get the word.

Please don't claim to know whether the TV executives read the forums. Unless you have verifiable proof that none of them (and none of their agents) ever read any of these discussions, you cannot say that they don't.

I am not trying to change the minds of any viewers but I do want to help those that already agree with my impressions to communicate in any way it helps.
