Indeed. He masterfully toes the line between high drama and witty comedy.
I can't take issue with anyone who simply dislikes the film or its humor, but someone who can't discern the drastic difference in comedic tone and style between Thor:Ragnarok and the "juvenile kiddie slapstick humor was present in Batman & Robin and Transformers," is demonstrating himself to be incapable of understanding subtle, intellectual humor.
Korg would be right at home in a Monty Python sketch, especially with his ramblings about Doug and New-Doug. There are nuances and subtleties to British, and by extension New Zealander, humor that are world's apart from what one finds in a Bay or Shumacher film, and those that don't that, well... they just don't get it.
