Made no sense whatsoever. Whenever heroes fight each other only to make up minutes later, its a weak writing, pandering or poor villains. Same thing when Thor unnecessarily fought Iron Man in in Avengers I. (Civil War was an exception since there was an actual conflict there)
Loki murdered 80 people in the first Avengers and Thor simply takes him, but sure, no motive there.
Hell, the scrap between Yelena and Nat had a reason behind it. The two hadn't seen each other since they were kids and are spies for two countries who aren't exactly friends. There was very little reason for them to trust each other.
still it totally didnt make any sense at all. as she came willingly(!) on the invitation(!) of the other one, its not that one ambushed the other or something.
piss poor writing this movie has, and not only concerning this fight
I think that is more of "women play men" kind of thing. If that is happening between men then it is not surprising. Men with that kind of skills need to find out who is better, one way or another they will find a reason to fight.
I don't think women do that kind of things, since they are supposed to be more down to earth. Then again I am not a woman, not sure whether that is a fair assumption.
If you think women are never competitive or petty, then you might not understand them at all. That said, this scene was a bit curious to me. Since both women deal with spies, betrayal, and brainwashed assassins, it might make sense for them to be on the defense. Aside from that, both had a grudge against the other at the time.
Well, like I said I am not a woman. I worked with women before in corporate environment. Their fights are more backstabbing instead of confrontational.
Then again those are only my guesses. I don't know what they do when men are not around. I am now a grown man so I am guessing it is not pillow fights :)
Do they like to establish physical dominance? I think that is the main reason why those meaningless fights of men started, and one of the reasons why men are into sports.
what part you are not getting ,last time they saw each other was caring for each other, being traumatized of getting separated.what normal human would then after a reunion of such length just throw their fists? even ending up at opposite sides
Thor unnecessarily fought Iron Man in in Avengers I.
That made a lot of sense.
From Thor's perspective, his brother went crazy, caused a bunch of problems for Asgard, then died. A little while later, Thor and Odin realized Loki was still alive and in the process to invade Midgard and steal the Tesseract. It makes sense that Thor would go down there to bring Loki back and stand trial. There would be a lot of mixed emotions about that as well. Then all of a sudden, some random mortal shows up and interferes where he has no business interfering and acts all high and mighty about it. Of course Thor is gonna smash that idiot through a tree.
From Tony's perspective, an alien invades Earth, steals a dangerous weapon no one really understands, and kills nearly 100 people. They need to stop this guy, figure out his plan, find the dangerous weapon, and bring the guy to justice before anymore people die. Suddenly, the guy's brother shows up to take him home. For all anyone knows this alien doesn't care about the human death toll and just wants his brother back home so they can chill out and play Fortnight all day. At worst, the alien brother is in on the whole thing and is just as dangerous. Either way, he deserves to be knocked off a cliff.
Thor is not justified in way, shape, or form. This is not a "they are both right/no one is wrong" situation.
The "mere mortals" didn't interfere in shit, Loki showed up and attacked people on Earth; and it's the 3rd time in a year Asgard did something like that. First Odin drops Thor on our planet, then Loki attacks him with the Destroyer. That's 3 incidents in which Asgardians were the aggressor and/or initiated the problem. Humanity absolutely has a right to defend itself from that. Cap and Tony were absolutely in the right to take issue with that.
You said Thor's actions "makes sense". No, they don't. They were the definition of irrational and trigger happy. He started throwing punches at people who didn't do a fucking thing to him. Nothing about that "makes sense", regardless of what he thought. Thor's "POV" is simply incorrect and he VERY QUICKLY backed down when it was explained what Loki did:
I still don't understand how that fight was resolved. No new information came out... they could have just had the truce from the beginning. Clearly just an excuse to showcase some action.
That is a sparing, I think that is what they were going for. It is about sizing each other up and determine kind of who the boss is, that kind of thing. That is usually what men do, more of a testosterone thing. In the end Natasha said "Truce", that is more of "OK, you are good" or "I think we are done".
As I mentioned before I think that is more of a "women play men", "women are as tough as men" kind of thing. Because the usual hugs and kisses are so 80s, clearly degrading women.
Thought the same thing. Also, I hate Civil War for this very reason. Just a waste of time showing good guys fighting good guys. Same with Batman Vs Superman (awful film).
Didn't enjoy Black Widow. Think it is the weakest out of the Marvel Films. Also, that post credit scene?? **SPOILER*** - So again implying that a good guy is going to fight another good. YAWN!!! She and the whole planet know why her sister died. I'm sure the sacrifice was mentioned to all, so why have this storyline put in when you just know in the first episode of Hawkeye they will be friends. Can't stand Julia Louis-Dreyfus character too.
I did. Yes it was clear for both films, but still I don't like seeing good guys against good guys. Just think it is a waste of time, like a filler film.
