You are making the mistake of thinking critics are supposed to be critical, just like some people think free press is free to press whatever they want.
These two entities are not there to serve people by telling the truth about sneaky powerful entities that try to either manipulate or entertain the masses for the benefit of the powerful entities, to the detriment of the people (for example, 'copyright laws' do not serve the people, they serve the powerful entities, such as 'corporations').
They are there to obfuscate, lie, keep people in the dark about what's really going on, and to benefit the powerful entities and wealthy families as much as possible, to the detriment of the people, but to do it in such a way that it LOOKS like they are still doing the job they are originally supposed to.
Critics are not there to criticize movies, they are there to praise the 'right' movies in the 'right' way, and only criticize the 'wrong' movies (such as independent, small studio flicks or 'films' with good stories and no 'woke' messages).
The ACTUAL quality of a movie is not a factor in any of this, the IMPORTANT part is to tell the audience what the 'owners' want the masses to think about a given movie. When you keep all this in mind, everything you read or hear from the 'critics' makes perfect sense all the time.
