Really good movie!

Just watched this with my boyfriend and I really don't understand the 5.8 score on IMDB at all. My bf and I watch a lot of zombie movies and some are scored between 5 and 6 here but are far far worse than this movie. This movie was actually really good, with a great balance between story and action (just enough story for me and action for him lol) so I really don't understand how this scored below 6. The zombies were really good looking (well, you know what I mean), the characters were interesting (except the woman at the end she was kinda pointless) and the tension was just good enough that the movie was never boring. It was good in a '28 Days Later' sense with the mixture of drama and horror, not as good as it, but pretty good still. I'm really baffled with the score. I would give it a solid 7 or perhaps even a little more.

i loved this movie! i've watched it a couple of times over that past several months. i especially liked how the infected/zombies mutated into those white creatures. the soundtrack was excellent/gorgeous. the acting was very good. the sets were really good/interesting. etc.

I'm another one who thought this was a great movie. Don't understand the level of dislike directed at it. I thought it was exceptionally well done without falling into the typical cliche traps most of these movies do. When you read the criticism, it's almost always irrelevant to the movie. e.g. people complaining about the lack of answers for things they don't actually need to know.

I can tell one thing by watching this movie, this is a gifted director. Well done from top to bottom. You wouldn't know it was a low-budget operation.

I'm a latecomer, just watched it on demand, and I thought it was quite good. Held back by the lack of budget, but it features two actors I like, and I thought the combination of character study and action scenes was pretty terrific. I also liked the cold opening that some others didn't. The only thing I wasn't wild about was the ending; I guess there was a village down there, but it was hard to tell what they were really seeing, other than the bright sun.
