I wouldn't be able to resist taking the test, even if I didn't want to, which I don't think I'd be sure about unless it was happening to me.

I would. Knowing you will live to 50 vs 90 is a very different life lived. If you wanted to marry you would have to inform your partner and if you want to have children you really would need to. Such a difficult place to be.

I guess I don't know what test the OP means. Early alzeimer's meaning you would only live to 50? Julianne Moore is near my age, older than that....I saw this movie last year and I forget what the test was for :\

If the test was for 'normal' alzeimer's, ie older I would take it.

I have a friend whose mother had early onset dementia (48) that there is a test for as it is genetic but I do t know if there is such a test for Alzheimer's.
