Stephen Merchant as Caliban
This role suits this Bristolian actor perfectly! Those eyes...!
Didn't expect to see him in this, he does drama very well.

Agreed. I was surprised to see him there and it took me a little while to be sure it was him - but he was good in the part.
shareCaliban aged pretty well given Apocalypse took place in 1983 and this in 2029. I guess staying away from the sun will do wonders.
shareIt was so funny seeing Merchant in his.. even though he was playing it straight with little to no opportunity for humour couldn't help loling few times.. just his moany bristolian accent talking to A list Jackman about being left behind, being a dogsbody etc, the way he delivered some lines, knowing he must've gotten the role due to the 'Extras'/Stewart connection lol
He was good though.. abit like a young Bruce Spense (which ties in with the Mad Max/Thunderdome aspects of he film. could image Spense in this had it been made in the 80s/90s)
