come up with your own Expend4bles

Expend4bles going to be bad right, its just obvious. the worst one yet,

but what would you have done if you were able to do Ex4?

Opening scene - A shadowy figure is torturing Trench (Arnold). we hear the 'nyyyaggah!' Arnold screams, the figure reveals himself.. Its John Travolta! (bald, menacing mode), he puts a Glock to Trenchs head .. "don't worry Trench, Barney Ross will be joining you soon..' A final Arnold 'Nooo!' is cut short by a gun shot..

Cue CG skulls Title: "Expenda4bles'

There follows Ross (Stallone), coming to terms with death of his friend and the return of his worst ever enemy from the past: ex Special Forces Colonel Dan Zammer (Travolta) who makes Stonebanks look positively PG13 (this would be a fun line in the movie) ..

Barney is briefed by CIA man Church (Bruce Willis in final ever cameo with help of AI) who tells him Zammer is after nukes, gonna cause WW3 yada yada, and so Barney reassembles his team for one last mission: Statham, Dolph, Randy, Crews, Snipes to go after Zammer and his team: Megan Fox as uberbitch, Tony Jaa, and Pierce Brosnan as a silent British assassin/henchman (similar to his role in Long Good Friday and Survivor) who kills Randy & Crews before Dolph takes him down, sacrificing himself to save the rest. The final member of Zammers team is Steven Seagal in a cameo where he's killed almost immediately by Barney in a humorous death scene (reminiscent of his demise in Executive Decision)

End showdown in Bulgarian location - Stallone vs Travolta (80s vs 90s action kings) who wins? ... Shock end. they both die! (Stallone has poignant Brando-esque final line, his first movie death?) only Statham and Snipes survive the movie.. (to do Ex5 if needed)

So my version is chock full of retro action stars (Stallone, Arnie, Dolph, Snipes, Travolta, Brosnan, Seagal, plus Bruce in his final ever movie role, a nice goodbye to movie fans). plus they finally be getting wiped out (like the title always suggested but never delivered on), and thered be a feeling of an era coming to an end throughout the movie (the era of the 80s/90s action movie/action hero) kind of like an 'Unforgiven' for action movies, and would be directed by John McTiernan (Predator, Die Hard, Die Hard 3, Hunt For Red October, Last Action Hero)

It’s directed by Joe Carnahan.

It brings back the original crew that’s still alive or relevant. Ditch the new recruits from part 3. Except maybe Glen Powell (now that he’s got some recognition post-Top Gun: Maverick).

Harrison Ford remains their CIA contact. He’s got a female assistant to do his dirty work. Like a Michelle Rodriguez or Jessica Henwick.

The villain is a notorious African dictator-in-exile planning a coup of his homeland. Think Putin’s chief meets Idi Amin. Played by Idris Elba or Nonzo Anozie.
He uses a mercenary army similar to the Wagner Group. Their commander is played by Jaime Lannister or Arnold Vosloo.

The new members of the Expendables include Jing Wu, David Hasselhoff, Milla Jovovich, and Michael Jai White.

oh yeh Carnahan would've been a good choice to direct

Pretty good ideas too, I like that you put The Hoff in there, and why not, he was an action star too

Totally. This could had been salvageable. But it sounds like they just gave up on the franchise. So why bother with a 4th one? This could had been an entirely unrelated movie.
