Kill the Chrisjen Avasarala-character

To each his own, I guess. I watched the series first, then read the book. She was my favourite character on the series, so I was disappointed to discover she was not in the first book.

I agree but since others are telling us she is integral to the story I don't see the directors recasting her.

Besides her basic (at best) acting skills, the thing that bugs me the most is how the costume/wardrobe departments are making her into their dress-up doll for Indian fashion. She has a costume change multple times in each episode. That scene where she is walking in the snow was really bad. They put this long cape/coat on her with the fur trim and left her chest totally exposed to the elements. I don't mean naked, just that her coat was left open instead of wrapped tightly to ward off the cold as one would expect.

I too cannot make out what she is saying a lot of the time and as a result I also tune her out when she is in a scene.

Ok now I've read book 1-4 and I can see why she is essential to the series.
But my opinion regarding Shohreh Aghdashloo playing this character is still the same. I also accept the fact that they can't re-cast any other actress to play her role so I'm ok with that. But I don't look forward watching the next season with Shohreh Aghdashloo still in the series. She just rubs me the wrong way.
