(IMO) Emma Stone is overrated

Overall? Maybe. She was excellent in this, though.

Yes. I always think it would have been better with someone else cast in that role.

We all agree she is not a bad actor, not even close, but for me she far from boring and annoying, she is full of charisma and this is the thing with acting, not everyone must be a Meryl Streep (that I don't like but for different reasons), personal charm and charisma are big part and rightly so.

She was the best thing about this movie! And that's high praise considering her co-star was the magnificent Emma Thompson!

Okay, the story was utterly ridiculous and the biggest laugh was delivered by a metal detector, but Stone kept me watching. She actually pulled off the transition from grubby little mouse to magnificent bitch before our eyes, and even had enough charisma that I didn't laugh during that ridiculous monologue about her mother! And she stunned in the fashion moments that needed to wow, she did everything that could be done with the role. As an actor, she's the real deal.
