*spoiler?* was the ending a reshoot?

If you've seen the movie... There's a point where the movie seems to end, with all the characters true to themselves and the movie still filled with a kind of integrity. And then. Something happens, characters start acting unnaturally but very much in lockstep to romcom formula. It was still pretty funny but left a sour taste behind, when until then it was pretty delightful piffle. Was this tacked on, anyone know? Or was it in the original script?

Yeah I was feeling this movie at a 6, maybe even a 6.5, despite the super cliche moments and lines...maybe I'm just a Sudeikis/Brie fan.

But the last 10 minutes were bad and pointless. The scene on the phone in the police station...was really poor.

And dragging Amanda Peet and her son into the mix just to burn them? Unnecessary. Could have slightly tweaked that scene and made it so they were just friends, perhaps he's been dogging her for a second date and proposes Paris or something and she's considering it when....

Or just cut it altogether.
