Do I need to watch The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons again?

Sorry if this has been brought up before, but do I need to watch The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons again to really enjoy/ understand Inferno?

The director has stated he views them as different stories, and isn't a fan of sequels.

No you do not. You don't even need to read the book because Ron Howard changed characters, the ending, and multiple story lines. I'm sure this is a good movie if you didn't read the book but it left me and my friend thoroughly upset due to the butchering of the book.

Not at all.. this one had nothing to do with nothing.. it was a useless movie.. infact the first two were 1000% more interesting than this piece of crap.
