S5 E3 : Was Kim's story real ?

It probably was but a doubt remains

I'm guessing the essence of the story is true, though I think she probably exaggerated. some of the details/

I’m guessing it was 100% real. No embellishments. She opened her heart, shared a personal story from a time in which she was disadvantaged and probably idealistically dreaming of being a lawyer and helping the little guys out there.
But due to her current position, choices and client, she can’t even sell the truth. She can’t connect with honesty. The guy just doesn’t believe her.
And this kind of devastates her. Sad.

I think it was true. One thing that they have revealed about Kim is that she does come from modest means and has worked very very hard to get where she is. One of the things in the first season that was a plot item was that the law firm paid for her law schooling, loans, and all. When she left the law firm, she mentioned that she would repay them, but Howard (I think) said he would waive it.

Yes, 100% true (as remembered by a child.) She let the scumbag homeowner in on the personal details of her life with a heart-touching story, and he figured she was lying because she was a lawyer and made more money than he did. What a jerk.
