confused on some points

Would appreciate clarification on a few things. As I followed it, I got:

1) wife cut off son's penis

2) dad then had his own penis cut off - I thought he was doing this sort of in solidarity with his son, and out of guilt that obviously HE was who the wife really wanted to trim.

But from other comments, and then later in the movie it seems the son has a penis. So the dad's was transplanted to the son? If the son had a new penis (from dad), why was he presented as if he didn't have one? I'm thinking of the scene at the police station, and the way guys tried to take his pants down to see, and how he couldn't piss right. Was it just that they could see a scar and wanted to see that?

In the gang rape of the convenience store worker, I was under the impression he was going through the motions to save face, and had no penis to rape with anyway. But if he did have one, did he actually penetrate/rape her?

Yes, the father donated his penis to his son but that happened later in the film after the scenes you're describing. The father was shown multiple times throughout the film researching penis transplantation on the internet and he finally found an article about a successful surgery. The articles were in English, I guess you just weren't paying attention. The son getting his father's penis is an important plot point for the final act of the film, in which we're shown that the son could now only get an erection from his mother... hence the mindfuckery.

Thanks. I did get that the son got the erection at the end from his mother, and that it was due to it being the father's penis. I was just confused about the sequence of events, I guess. Thanks for the clarification. And I did see the father looking at the articles, but I must have zoned out when the son got the transplant. It's been too long, but I seem to remember seeing the father in surgery (so I understood he had his removed), but didn't know it was put on the son. Did the son get drugged and just wake up with this new appendage, or did he know what was happening before the surgery?

I don't know. It's difficult to tell if he knew whose penis he's getting because of the lack of dialogue. I forgot the exact sequence of events but I think the father showed the son the article and the next scene was them in the doctor's office after the surgery, where they were trying to test if he would get an erection.
