The motto of the story is....

Kate, the blonde sister if I remember right, was a bad influence. She wasn't trying to be, but she disregarded the advice given to her by the concierge service of where they were staying. And I figure that's the poetic justice given to her character when she from what I understand was attacked and killed by the shark. Alas, the motto of the story I say is simple, listen to those who are in a position of trust to help you. And if your inner voice, or your gut is indicating something could go wrong or isn't right, "listen to it". Lisa didn't feel comfortable and didn't want to go, but she trusted her sister who insisted on going forward on the dive.

For me the motto of the story is, if you want to see sharks, rent a National Geographic video!

I enjoyed the movie even though I know zip about deep sea diving and figured that I was being played by a lot of the details.

The next motto is, listen to Jerry Seinfeld's mom. In the classic episode "The Pen" when Jerry and Elaine travel to Florida to go scuba diving, Mrs. Seinfeld asks them, "Underwater? What do you need to see down there?"

My chickenhearted sentiments exactly. Unless your profession entails swimming with sharks all around, find a safer hobby!
