Great cinematographey and a feel good story but also a weak story and poorly written characters?

I actually enjoyed Walter Mitty, but these two won't be the same. Walter Mitty is much more fantasy based.

I agree the characters and story were sort of convoluted in Walter Mitty, but the cinematography, soundtrack, and overall feel of the movie was enjoyable for me. I don't have that same feeling (yet) for Wish I Was Here, but I won't be able to see it until wide release or DVD.

Comparing Ben Stiller to Zach Braff is massively insulting to Stiller. Although both movies are overly melodramatic and mediocre

If by that, you mean this film is not nearly as splendid as the trailer, it's certainly possible. I haven't seen it yet.

actually Hector and the Search for Happiness is this years Walter Mitty.
