*spoiler* so I just watched the finale

I think they arranged it for mei to have the best chance to win.

The button thing was stupid and easily fixable.

Underwhelming finale.

I thought about it too. Arrangement for money so that each would have some. But then I remembered how people are greedy morally bankrupt asholes. Winner would simply not commit to give away money once it would be in their pockets. They knew it and didn't even think about it.

They are not friends. They are just random people who met each other few days ago.

And made no mistake - Mai is as horrible and two face as all of them. Hippy guy probably was really the most chill and nice of them. Mai was fake as hell. Like one contestant said: "You can wear many faces but eventually your true self will come out".

She pretended to be nice momma and cried a lot. But her true bitchy face came when she gave that "elimination box" to that nice dude, saying: "My dear friend Roland... People would think that it wouldn't be possibly be me. I love the guy. But also I have to save myself first.

Just like that she kicked out the guy who was her friend. She eliminated him because he trusted her. And then she blatantly lied when 3 of them came to their rest place and bearded dude asked her who she gave box to. And she didnt want to confess she ratted her friend. So she lied that she gave it to some woman.

That Mai is fake as hell. And two face. At least some others didnt pretend to not be bitchy.

And hippy finalist guy actually said he couldnt give his last box to bearded guy because they were friends. So he gave it to red hair woman. Mai could give it to anyone but kicked out person who trusted her the most.

According to an interview with the Daily Mail, as the winner of Squid Game: The Challenge, “Whelan said that contracts signed by the participants forbid them from giving any winnings to other contestants.”

Why would the last two agreed to share money if they didn't need the other to win? Makes no fucking sense.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if there were contract rules forbidding agreements to share the loot, since such agreements would detract from the players' desperation.

Notice how Trey and his mom never discussed how they'd "both win" if either got the loot, even though that's the obvious outcome.

Britain's "Golden Balls" actually permits and even encourages contestants to lie to each other about whether they'll share the prize money. I strongly suspect that the contestants must agree to permit such deception in Golden Balls and on this show.

Otherwise, any agreement to share the winnings would be legally binding and enforceable. But if Mai had promised Phil(? the hippy guy) to split the winnings, all the suspense of the final game would be lost.

BTW, for those who might not know, an oral promise is enforceable just like a written promise, as long as the other person gives up something in reliance on the promise (like agreeing to throw the game or try less hard to win).

In any case, a spoken promise made on camera and recorded is "written" as far as the law is concerned.

I read that she is still waiting to get paid.
