shareI believe in the second episode there’s a fairly lengthy flashback that says “hundreds of years ago,” and shows him doing various things in caves and eating the “sins” of the dead with an audience.
shareI don't think it said "hundreds of years ago". I think it said something like "Kingdom of Wales, England: 1573" or suchlike.
I remember the interesting labelling of Wales as a territory of England and the fact that he wore a kilt, despite that being something of a cultural appropriation to associate that particular garment with Wales.
