Odd, but to me, a watcher of the original series ....

Star Trek Continues is better than the movies and the other series ... it hits on the original point, purpose, feel and intent of the original series far better than all other other movies and series.

It's fantastic, I have really enjoyed it. It took a little getting used to the voices and faces but their body manners and dialogue is spot on. The way Mignogna looks, carries himself, stands and expresses himself is spot on with Shatner, however I feel he should add a little more hesitation to his words and it'll be perfect.

Since I was on YouTube and interesting in Star Trek I watched a video about
the show and Nichelle Nichols and how she was about to quit the show because
she was not getting any lines or stories. Then she was introduced to Rev. MLK
who told her she was a great role model for black women, and men.

Then later in the interview it was revealed that the studio had been withholding
or throwing away or something all the huge amount of fan mail she was getting.

Sadly the guy who played Sulu on Star Trek continues died, I think after the last
year of the show of a brain aneurism. I'd love to have seen that show go on. They
had some pretty good scripts, but they did summon up the feeling of the old show,
even if the characters look a little out of place.

I really enjoy the effect and sets, but mostly I love to hear the old music from the
original series.

Thank you for sharing about how Nichelle Nichols was treated in regards to what you said. I am glad Gene Roddenberry saw a vision to introduce diversity like he did. He even had a Russian on an American ship right in the middle of the Cold War!

I forgot to add also about the sets, lighting and use of the original music. It all works together to create a really immersive recreation of TOS.

Sad about Grant Imahara indeed, I enjoyed watching him in Mythbusters a lot.

I also noticed that Mignogna displayed more "hesitation" like Shatner in the third episode which I finished watching yesterday. Looking forward to watching the rest!

Wouldn't it be incredible if a major streaming company got behind this and helped produce a second season. I think a lot of people would watch it. Maybe they can go to widescreen also.

STC is wonderful.

I just had occasion to watch another episode today,
and I think it was as good as any episode of Star Trek,
and of course the music really adds a lot to it.
And Gigi Edgely, who I'd never heard of before was great in this episode.

Jesus. She's been telling that story for 50 years, and every time, it gets bigger and more grandiose. First he called her, then he met her, then he begged her to stay on ST, then the whole civil rights movement was due to Uhura, then...
