focus on the family, lame
I'm down for them being there and central. But I don't want it to focus on them to the point of excluding others.
I just feel like that angle will be lame and predictable. Because when they do that, it almost always ends up that one parent dies, and it's almost always the dad. Because of course they won't kill both parents, especially if one's Sidney. And though they'll have the balls to make Ghost Face appear to go after the kids, there's no way they'll actually kill a kid in one of these movies, especially one of Sidney's.
Also for the kids to be old enough to have any character at all, they'll need aged up. So they'll probably have a time jump. Which I think would be lame, because how would any sequels work around that? If 7 is set 10 years later so the kids are older, then they do 8 with Sam and Tara, does that have to be 10 years forward too?
And the whole "Maybe Mark is the killer" thing. No. They'll make Sidney distrust him and think he's Billy #2, and at the end Mark will die and Sidney will realize he was really Derek #2 all along, which she seemingly learned in 3. Though I guess it'd be wild if Stu was still alive and working with Mark.
