It gets annoying after a while but theres a lot of water used in the series. The towns they live in/visit are water places, like the house on the lake. Didn;t Alison and Cole's child die from drowning as well? And it seems waters used in some scenes to show emotions of the characters. Like Noah swimming and having the flashbacks of the car, or when it started to storm and rain when Helen was kissing her date goodbye. Plus its a depressing song, and most of the characters are severely depressed.

Yes. Me and my sister was talking about that. The affair has the worst theme song and it's totally doesn't fit the show. So I wonder how they come about picking that song for the show's theme song?
I hated the song at first, but it's grown on me.

Same here on both counts: disliking the theme song and S1 > S2
It seems that with all this character development you would get to know them, see them grow, make mistake, learn from them or not. But in S2, I had no idea what each character is going to do next, how the characters would react etc...
