Cole/Joshua

Joshua Jackson deserves a lot of credit for his performance in this series. He's amazing. Alison and Noah are the leading roles and have the most focus but Cole steals every scene he's in. He's my favorite by far.

It's just strange to me that they cast Joshua in this role because no matter what he always ends up on top. We're supposed to believe that Alison chooses Noah over Cole, but it's hard to imagine considering who they're played by. Not just because Joshua is better looking, it's because he's more charismatic and charming than that Dominic/Noah fellow.

Anyone agree/disagree?

Noah is the wooorst and Alison falls close behind (but sometimes, very rarely, I understand her character), so anyone in comparison seems 100x better. Both Cole and Helen are my favorites in the cast and its because of how awful Noah and Alison are as their counterparts.

I also hope Alison and Cole end up together. I used to want Helen and Noah but he's become progressively worse, and he treats Helen like sh-t, but she keeps coming back to him, so it's unhealthy af.

A rose is just a rose.

I used to like Helen until she allowed Noah to take the fall for her crime. That's despicable; I don't care how he treated her before. Noah doesn't deserve to be punished by spending three years in prison for cheating on his wife and causing his children pain - not admirable, but not worthy of three years being brutalized in prison.

While I agree it's sh-t to let someone's else take the fall, I think Noah is despicable and would have made a terrible single father. So Helen taking the fall would have been a disaster for the family and the well being of the kids

I remember him from Dawson's Creek. He was very charismatic on that show. He is much more comfortable in front of the camera than Noah. Noah is a *beep* How can anyone like him after all he has done. Even taking the bad rap from the two ladies and going to prison doesnt make me like him. However, Cole - why would anyone leave him? Alison is not very nice either, she steals a married man away, then goes back and screws her ex, get pg and never tells Noah until its too late. ugh. There arent too many likable characters on this show. I want to see more of Cole and his new wife.

reply

thank you yes, I agree. there aren't very many that are likeable... I love Cole. Alison is beyond understanding although I feel so sorry that she lost her little boy.. I also like Noah's sister, There, that's two! Kind of like the odd doctor that Helen is seeing, but I sense he just may be cheating on her too.

reply

I completely agree. His character is my favorite, always better when he's in the scene. More of a likeable character for sure. I really don't see the attraction to Noah. He looks much older than his supposed age. I don't get why women would be so attracted to him.

He is sexy. Jesus, he's sexy. This season he's really bringing it...and his acting isn't bad either 

I'm in the minority that definitely sees the appeal of Noah over Cole. Yes I like Cole but he does nothing for me. Noah on the other hand, is handsome, rugged, charming with unbelievable sex appeal. To me anyway.

reply

I agree that Noah is massively sexy and rugged. Noah's the guy with whom you have an affair and Cole is the guy you marry. I like Cole-- he's like a swan, who mates for life. Noah just flits from woman to woman.

Agreed, I love Joshua. He's the reason I started watching - I've loved him since he was Pacey!!

Sometimes I feel like I'm the only person in the world who has not seen a single episode of Dawson's Creek.

i haven't either. Had no clue who that actor was before this show.

For me, I sum Joshua up as BF/AF. I knew who he was before Fringe. I saw him in a few movies and kept hearing his name mentioned when anything Dawson's Creek was brought up.

But after Fringe?

Oh boy.... . He and John Noble were my must see tv every week. Those two had great chemistry, creating such memorably funny and emotional scenes, that few shows exhibit today. Who knows. Maybe John Noble will stumble into Montauk one day.
