Cole/Joshua

Joshua Jackson deserves a lot of credit for his performance in this series. He's amazing. Alison and Noah are the leading roles and have the most focus but Cole steals every scene he's in. He's my favorite by far.

It's just strange to me that they cast Joshua in this role because no matter what he always ends up on top. We're supposed to believe that Alison chooses Noah over Cole, but it's hard to imagine considering who they're played by. Not just because Joshua is better looking, it's because he's more charismatic and charming than that Dominic/Noah fellow.

Anyone agree/disagree?

I completely agree.

100% agree, Joshua is mesmerising

Agree ! And he is probably the saddest character here

I know! It just adds to the admiration. Because I'm always rooting for him.

I find Cole to be a tragically beautiful character and loved that they added his views in s2.

The fact that Alison not only cheated on him and then left him for Noah, she even hid his daughter from him for the first one-two years of her life. That is completely insane, especially considering the fact that she of all people knows the pain he has suffered when they lost their first child.

I have no idea where the writers are taking this and how Cole will react. He always forgives Alison, but will he this time? I can't imagine anyone being forgiven for this hainous betrayal.

his charisma and depth bring something to every role he has ever had. Truly enjoy watching his performances

Agree 100%. Joshua has a unique likeability due his immense charisma. It's hard not to root for him, haha.

They even mention this in the show...Whitney asks Alison why she chose her dad when her husband was so hot.

reply

You're right. Haha. Even Whitney can see that it doesn't make any sense.

Where this show is concerned, I have no idea where it will go. That is part of why I love it. And of course Joshua/Cole.

reply

And my dad is like , so old? Lol at Whitney

Dominic West is very attractive but the self-absorbed Noah really, really isn't.

People are strange.

agree with all of the previous posts about JJ. He's amazing in this show and honestly is the only reason I'll keep watching. The end of last season got a little too ridiculous for me, but I want to see what happens with Cole. I hope he ends up happy. Helen too. The rest I really don't care about.

I knew of Maura Tierney before The Affair. I'd never leave Cole for Noah, he's such a wimp. I'm on Showtime email list & am watching Episode 1 of Season 3 on demand. Comcast is my cable provider.
If you have Comcast it's available now.
