As long as it's not the guy who did this one, it has a chance. Abrams gave us the best Star Trek film of all time with his first effort, and a solid though flawed follow-up, so I'd be fine with him taking control back. Or, pretty much anyone but the clown who created the mess that is Star Trek Beyond. And yeah, it seemed like the Tarantino film was a long-shot, though it would be a real treat were it to somehow happen.

Nah Abrams killed both the Star Trek and Star Wars franchises because he's an awful writer who just regurgitates the same shit.

4y on there's still 2 movies in production (ST4 and a prequel movie)

I'd rather just have ST4. Prequel sounds like tv stuff.
