This movie contains one of the most extreme switch from fun to shock... from a very funny scene to Jojo discovering his mom hanging from the gallows...

Yes that was a big shock and came out of no where.

It certainly didn't come out of nowhere. The film basically screamed what was going to happen from the first instance of the hangings with extra focus on the dead persons shoes.... If anything, it was way too obvious.

Yeah, the movie drags you into the false sense of security and then, when you least expect it, punches you hard right into the gut.

I was wondering why they kept focusing on those shoes.
