Most of Disney's Star Wars films are like bad fanfiction
I think the only exceptions are Rogue One and The Mandalorian (so far, anyway).

True, they're probably trying to go basic on The Madalorian and avoiding any gender & race politics that infested the films. Rogue One was good because of the way the film ended.

Reactionary talking about infestations re race and gender. Sounds about reich. Such broken record stereotypes these anti-Disney/anti-modern Hollywood regressives. Zzzzzzz
Can't agree with that. Yeah they're all pretty shit and ignore established elements to do with the force, e.g. Lazer freezing in TFA and force ghost lightening in TLJ. But how can Rogue One get a pass?
It literally craps all over the OT and the prequels! It ignores the insect guy Death Star planners - only arguable by the utter nonsense claim that the didn't actually design the Death Star weapon, they were merely really good planners for spherical space stations (wtf?!!), something which no-one had ever been able to come with before 😂
And then they couldn't even make the damn film fit in with the ONE LINE which linked it to ANH - "several transmissions were BEAMED to this ship"!
Rogue One is the crowning glory fan-fiction of the entire set! Just because it was more gritty and had that "cool" Darth Vader scene doesn't give it some kind of pass for any real fans of either the OT or the prequels.
I got the fanfilm vibe during one of the Kylo scenes during TFA....it was so weird, and I had never felt that before during a big budget movie.
