The first half of ROTJ was pretty bad and there were a few things that were obviously thrown in there to sell toys (cough Ewoks, cough).
The Ewoks were in the second half of the movie.
"After Luke leaves to face Vader however ROTJ becomes Star Wars at its very best."
It was a carbon copy of what Luke did in The Empire Strikes Back. So it was star wars at its best but a paler copy of it and it was a lamer light saber fight..
"The prequels while they were certainly not as good as the OT overall (although I would put Episode III above Episode VI) were made by a man who wanted to tell a story."
He totally failed at telling that story and it was same story that Lucas told in a 90 second scene in IV.
"The Disney films were objectively bad by every measure and were made by a multibillion dollar corporation more concerned with getting their investment back than telling a story. One of my complaints about the Disney films is there are TOO MANY CHARACTERS"
There is nothing objective about Art. With that said you won't find me defending the Disney Star Wars movies, they are shit. To make the claim that the Lucas movies after V were anything but cash grabs is disingenuous.
Also Lucas' movies had numerous poorly fleshed out characters as well. I don't know if you where alive between V and VI, but it was two years of Boba Fett fever and Lucas just threw the character away without batting an eye.
